An emulator that, together with Visual Pinball, lets you have fun playing the pinball machines of always.

PinMAME is the short version of Pinball Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator, and as the name indicates, it is a pinball machine emulator. It is developed from the MAME emulator, which is popular for videogames, and has the same working philosophy.

To work, you need to have ROM files of the pinball to emulate. They are memory chips that contain the program, the sounds, and the animations of these machines. It doesn`t emulate the board, the ball and other physical components of the game. Despite this it is an excellent tool that lets you play and capture the animations and sounds, with which you can create new versions of the pinball software and try it comfortably.

To play the pinball machines with PinMAME you need to install Visual Pinball.
